Call for Paper on the Special Issue (IJPS):
COVID 19 and its implications to Public Policy and Administration
The International Journal of Policy Studies (IJPS) invites article proposals for a special issue on Policy Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic and Future Implications.

The International Journal of Policy Studies (IJPS), the official journal of the Korean Association for Policy Studies, is a bi-annual peer-reviewed international journal. IJPS publishes high-quality, innovative, and original research that meets the high standards of scholarship and practice of policy domain.

Per IJPS's commitment to publish articles on time-sensitive policy topics and agenda, we seek to provide information about the current response to COVID-19 and insights into future resilience to any similar public health crises through the application of public policy and emergency management perspectives.

To this end, IJPS has designated Jungwon Yeo, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor of Public Administration and Emergency Management in School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida) as the guest editor for the special call for papers.

For this special call, IJPS seeks studies that address the breadth of policy responses to COVID-19 and/or policy implications for future pandemic resilience using theories and concepts within the public policy and emergency management disciplines. Proposals on a wide range of sub-topics using diverse analytical approaches and features will be considered, including strong theoretical works, single-site/comparative case studies, viewpoint, and commentary. As the special issue benefits from attracting the very best scientific contributions from scholars across a diverse range of disciplines, we welcome contributions from all social science disciplines.

Submissions of proposal consisting of a descriptive title, author(s) names and affiliation, and short abstract (maximum 500words) should be sent to by June 30, 2020. The abstract should present purpose statement, research questions, theories/approaches, originality of the research, and expected contribution to knowledge in the policy domain. Successful authors should submit a full article draft by October 30, 2020, and will receive a preliminary review by November 15, 2020 from the guest editor with final submissions expected by December 15 2020 (7,000 words maximum, including all figures, tables, and references). Accepted papers will be published in the IJPS December 2020 issue.
